Distal tibial articular fracture stabilized using the Sheffield Ring Fixator with rings connected by Threaded Bars. One wire-bearing ring for the distal fracture and one ring with the Sheffield Clamp for the diaphyseal screws.
In severe pilon fractures, a foot ring can be added with hinges to stabilize the ankle joint and mobilize it when possible.
